We are looking for a 1st Shift Supervisor. This is a contract to hire position!

Shift: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm. with OT available.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments.
• Develop, implement and direct programs to promote a safety culture on site and to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property is a priority.
• Manpower analytical skills – daily and weekly staff planning and scheduling to make sure that each task has adequate resources.
• Conflict resolutions – responsible for resolving customer shipping and receiving issues.
• Analyze reports to ensure profitability of customer account.
• Communicate to the workforce on a daily basis including shift briefs.
• Manage the workforce within the Warehouse Operation to ensure an efficient operation is maintained.
• Supervise picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of quality and productivity.
• Supervise unloading, receiving and put away processes in accordance with company and customer procedures.
• Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all product is properly counted
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage and errors
• Promote and manage a strong Continuous Improvement ethos to generate ideas and projects
• Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.

Requirements:

• Minimum Education: High School, High School Equivalent or Technical degree.
• 3 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
• Proficient MS Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook).
• Establish priorities, multi-task and detail oriented.
• Fluent in English.
• Overtime and weekends may be required.
