Vonachen Group is looking to hire a 1st shift Industrial Supervisor in Lawton, OK.
The Industrial Supervisor is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, maintaining proper supply levels, adhering to company policies, and providing a safe working environment. This person acts as a liaison between clients and managers when the manager is not present.
Job Responsibilities - Oversee all assigned duties/task per facility scope of work
- Encourage, redirect, correct, and document employee performance as appropriate
- Train employees into specialized areas and periodic assignments; document training
- Participate in all OSHA, Company, Customer and Site-Specific Safety Guidelines and Processes
- Prepare Confined Space Permits; initiate and confirm Lock-Out-Tag-Out of equipment
- Track all work and provide documentation as required; prepare timekeeping and End of Shift reports
- Conduct Quality Assurance audit and ensure corrective measures are implemented for all deficiencies
- Stock and maintain janitor and industrial closets, supply rooms; facilitate supply orders
- Maintain a safe work environment and immediately report any safety risks or hazards
- Monitor building security, facilitate any site-specific safety protocol
- Conduct hiring interviews as needed
- Monitor inventory and facilitate repairs to all assigned equipment and required tools.
- Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program for all assigned motorized equipment
- Lead T&M team for Lawn Care and Snow Removal during peak seasons
Job Requirements - Skills and Abilities
- Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid driver's license and clean MVR
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high-level of performance
- Customer-oriented and friendly
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to attend training related to industry practices and procedures
- Works well with a diverse team
- Must be mechanically inclined and possess a strong safety orientation
- Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Some computer skills are required
- Some experience with performing administrative tasks is required
- Management / supervisory experience required
- Experience working with union environment preferred
- CDL preferred (or to be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for long periods of time
- Repeat the same movements
- Frequent bending and twisting
- Able to lift, push & pull 50lbs
- Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Details - Full Time 1st Shift
- $20/hr
