Position Summary: We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and faith-driven Art Teacher to teach art classes to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore their creativity while developing skills in a variety of artistic media. Lessons should reflect the integration of Catholic values and encourage students to appreciate art as a form of self-expression, communication, and cultural understanding. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging art lessons aligned with New York State standards and Catholic educational principles. Teach a variety of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and digital art. Foster an appreciation for art history and exposure to diverse artistic traditions. Organize and display student artwork throughout the school and at special events. Manage art supplies and maintain an organized and safe classroom environment. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Collaborate with faculty, administration, and staff to promote cross-curricular projects and school-wide events. Participate in liturgies, assemblies, and school community activities. Model Catholic values through interactions with students, colleagues, and the broader school community. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field (Master's degree preferred). New York State teaching certification in Art Education (K-12) required. Prior teaching experience in elementary or junior high school settings preferred. Proficiency in various art techniques and media. Ability to integrate faith, values, and morals into the curriculum. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Availability to supervise, moderate activities, or coach athletics at least 2 afternoons a week in the afterschool program (4:00-5:15 PM).
