Bookkeeper | Hudsonville, MI

Salary Range: $49,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Hudsonville that are seeking skilled Bookkeepers. Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable for raw materials, production supplies, and operating expenses.
• Manage accounts receivable, including customer invoicing for manufactured products and payment application.
• Perform accurate bank and credit card reconciliations monthly.
• Maintain the general ledger, posting journal entries and ensuring data integrity.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including profit & loss and balance sheets.
• Process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate employee compensation and tax compliance.
• Support cost accounting by tracking inventory movements and production expenses.
• Manage fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, including inventory valuation and COGS.
• Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and month-end close processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with manufacturing cost accounting principles (e.g., inventory valuation, work-in-progress).
• Experience with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing environments (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
• Understanding of inventory management and reconciliation processes.
