If you’re a newly licensed CDL-A driver in the Salt Lake City metro area and ready to launch your trucking career the right way, this paid CDL-A trainee program offers structured on-the-road training, experienced mentorship, and a direct path to a solo OTR driving position with consistent miles and reliable weekly pay.
This is a career-focused trainee opportunity built for stability and long-term growth — not a short-term or high-turnover role.
Training Pay: $650 per week for the first 4–6 weeks
Solo Pay After Upgrade: $1,000–$1,400+ per week
Mileage Pay: $0.43–$0.51 CPM after training (based on experience)
Stop Pay: $15 per stop once upgraded
Pay Frequency: Weekly direct deposit
Most drivers upgrade to solo quickly once training requirements are completed.

OTR Schedule: 12–14 days out with a 34-hour home reset
Operating Area: 48-state OTR after training
Home Base: Salt Lake City, UT metro region
This is a true over-the-road position designed to build experience and consistency.

Willingness to run OTR for two consecutive weeks
