Location: Remote (U.S.-based)Job Type: ContractCompensation range: $35-45/hr (W2)Our client is seeking an experienced Copywriter to support increased workloads during their busy season. This role is key to producing accurate, consistent, high-quality content for employee-facing materials in the insurance industry. This is a fully remote role with a workload that will gradually increase.Interview Process: Candidates will complete a writing assessment, followed by two 30-minute interviews.Industry: Insurance / Employee Benefits Communications. Responsibilities: Create engaging short-form and long-form content for various platforms, including websites, emails, newsletters, social media, and both internal and external communications. Support the content team with copywriting, content development, and light proofreading and editing. Adjust writing style and messaging to suit different audiences and formats. Work with team members on planning, coordinating, and executing content projects. Qualifications: A strong portfolio showcasing diverse writing samples. While not required, a background in insurance, HR, or benefits-related communications is strongly preferred. Ability to write for digital, print, and broadcast channels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with AP style. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field. Experience working in consulting environments. Strong planning and project coordination skills. Proficiency with common tools (Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Workfront, Apple platforms). 3-4 years of Copywriting and editing. Must use a personal laptop (Mac or PC). Occasional weekend availability may be required.
