IT Healthcare Consultant – Business Analyst

We are seeking an IT Healthcare Consultant – Business Analyst to support Medicaid and healthcare eligibility projects. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions, providing analysis, documentation, and recommendations to improve processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as liaison between business units and IT to deliver technical solutions.
Analyze agency needs, as-is/to-be processes, and technical designs.
Gather, document, and manage business requirements and functional specifications.
Support business process redesign, automation opportunities, and system enhancements.
Provide guidance to technical and testing teams on requirements and specifications.
Conduct stakeholder sessions and facilitate communication across business and IT.
Identify risks, issues, and recommend solutions.
Collaborate with vendors, state/federal agencies, providers, and other stakeholders.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in technical, business, or healthcare field.
1+ year of business analysis experience, including IBM Cúram software.
1+ year on government IT projects as a BA or similar role.
2+ years of Medicaid eligibility or healthcare insurance experience.
Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, process analysis, and stakeholder communication.
