Reports to: Director of Athletics
The ideal candidate will have prior coaching or cheer experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a passion for developing student-athletes in a positive, team-focused environment. This is a part-time position with evening practices and game-day responsibilities during the winter season.
Design and implement conditioning and training programs appropriate for all skill levels
Maintain inventory of uniforms, gear, and equipment; coordinate needs with the Athletics Department
Model and enforce all school policies, team expectations, and athletic values
Communicate clearly and consistently with student-athletes, families, and school staff
Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team culture that promotes sportsmanship and teamwork
Availability for weekday evening practices and game-day performances
Alignment with Mystic Valley’s mission, values, and educational philosophy
Previous coaching experience
Strong organizational skills and a commitment to student development
The Head Coach will be evaluated at the conclusion of each season for potential renewal.
