Tittle: Network Engineer
Type: 12 month Contract (They would like to bring on a candidate full time after the 12 months )
Schedule: Remote (Must be in driving distance to Orlando for Quarterly travel)
Job Summary :
- Design, implement, and maintain secure and reliable network infrastructures for a healthcare organization.
- Configure and deploy network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points) ensuring optimal connectivity and integration.
- Ensure network security and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and HITRUST.
- Monitor network performance, analyze traffic, and proactively address anomalies or security breaches.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues; perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
- Optimize network configurations and protocols for efficient data transmission and reliable connectivity.
- Plan, schedule, and execute network upgrades, patches, and hardware refreshes with minimal clinical disruption.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT team, practice managers, and vendors to execute projects and resolve issues.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members; share best practices.
- Support and drive IT initiatives and projects across multiple locations.
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging networking technologies.
- Occasional onsite presence required in Orlando, FL; up to 20% travel.
- Must have Fortinet networks experience; healthcare/medical environment experience preferred.
