Job Description

About the Firm

Headquartered in Boston, MA, Samper Law is a renowned legal practice catering to a nationwide and international clientele. We specialize in complex Immigration Law, while providing robust representation in Family Law, Criminal Defense, and Personal Injury matters. Dedicated to serving individuals, families, and corporations pursuing equality, fair treatment, and improved opportunities, our firm is recognized for delivering exceptional advocacy and operational excellence. Our reputation is built on zealous representation, integrity, and the sophisticated handling of high-stakes cases, within an environment that demands professional rigor and fosters a culture of high performance.

The Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Immigration Paralegal to join our team. This is a vital position within our established corporate structure, designed for a dedicated professional who thrives in a collaborative, high-standards environment.

We are seeking a proactive self-starter who will seamlessly integrate into our firm, strictly adhering to our structure of operational excellence. This is a role for a professional ready to perform from Day 1. You must possess the ability to deliver exceptional work product while identifying opportunities to improve case efficiency. The successful candidate will proactively manage their caseload to ensure no deadline is missed and no client is neglected, effectively maximizing the value of every case while contributing directly to the firm’s bottom line through superior productivity and client service.

Core Responsibilities

  • Case Preparation & Management: Draft and prepare complex USCIS forms and petitions (including, but not limited to: Family Petitions, Adjustment of Status, U-Visas, VAWA, Consular Processing, and Naturalization). Prepare filings for Immigration Court (EOIR), including motions, evidence packets, and asylum applications.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for administrative and procedural updates. You are responsible for maintaining professional, empathetic, and clear communication with clients, ensuring they feel supported throughout the process—a key factor in client retention and future referrals.
  • Legal Research & Writing: Conduct research on country conditions, statutes, and case law to support attorney arguments. Draft declarations, affidavits, and cover letters with high precision.
  • Operational Efficiency: Manage deadlines, calendars, and docketing with absolute accuracy. You are expected to move cases forward proactively, ensuring the legal team operates at maximum efficiency.
  • Cross-Practice Support: While the focus is Immigration, candidates with the capacity to assist in Family, Criminal, and Personal Injury matters are regarded as a strategic asset and will be expected to leverage that experience to support the firm’s broader service capabilities.

Professional Standards & Expectations

Samper Law maintains a culture of elite professionalism. We are looking for a candidate who aligns with our operational values:

  • Mission-Focused Dedication: This is a demanding role. You are expected to dedicate the time and energy necessary to complete tasks correctly, timely, and consistently. We value results, thoroughness, and dedication over mere attendance.
  • Operational Discipline: We value structure and order. The candidate must possess a deep respect for the firm’s hierarchy and strictly adhere to operational protocols, file management systems, and strategies established by senior management.
  • Operational Agility: You must excel under pressure and possess superior time management skills. The ability to handle ad-hoc, last-minute assignments—prioritizing accurately and switching focus immediately without compromising quality—is essential.
  • Professional Focus: We are a destination for focused legal work. We expect an unwavering professional demeanor that prioritizes productivity and client service. We avoid office politics and distractions, ensuring a singular focus on the firm’s mission and success.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: A strict minimum of 2 years of substantive experience as a Paralegal specifically in Immigration Law is required. (General administrative experience does not count toward this requirement). Experience in Family Law, Criminal Defense, or Personal Injury is considered a distinct advantage.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required. Native or professional fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly preferred.
  • Attributes: Extremely professional, disciplined, and detail-oriented with a high standard for excellence.

Compensation & Benefits

Samper Law offers a compensation structure designed to reward high performers.

  • Salary: Competitive base salary, starting at $58,000, commensurate with experience. We are prepared to offer a compensation package that accurately reflects the market value of a top-tier candidate.
  • Incentive Structure: We provide a robust performance-based incentive scheme. Team members are rewarded for productivity, efficiency, and contribution to the firm's success.
  • Benefits Package:
  • Retirement Plan
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
