Summary

We are looking for a dependable, caring, and fun loving Assistant Teacher for our Preschool program.
The Assistant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe environment and assisting the Lead Teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate program.

Duties

The Assistant Teacher is responsible for:
Assist the Lead Teacher in the development and implementation of a developmentally appropriate program for young children.
Supervise children-ensure that children are supervised at all times during indoor and outdoor activities and that ratios are maintained.
Help with the established routines, provide positive guidance and observe the children.
Communicate with families about their child's day and needs on a daily basis.
Communicate and collaborate with teacher and/or administrator on a daily basis.

Requirements

Minimum High School Diploma or GED
12 credits in ECE-Preferred
Knowledge in child development and early education theories and practices
Effective communication skills
The ability to be flexible, patient and nurturing
Maintain First Aid/CPR Certification
You must complete a background check with fingerprints, have a complete physical with TB test upon employment.
Reliable transportation.
Complete required hours of professional development as needed.

Nice To Haves

A complete and current background check is great, but we can help you get that done.
First Aid & CPR is always a plus (but not necessary, we can help you obtain that)
We do accept Care 4 Kids funding for our families so if you have completed the CCEI course through CCAC that's great! If not, we can also help you obtain that training.
Prior experience working in a licensed center with an understanding of our OEC licensing regulations and requirements.
