The Preschool Director provides overall leadership, vision, and administration for the preschool program. This role includes managing staff, overseeing curriculum, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements, and fostering a Christ-centered culture for children, families, and faculty. The director serves as both a spiritual leader and administrative manager, working closely with church leadership, parents, and the local community.
Provide spiritual leadership, modeling Christ-like character and integrating biblical values into all aspects of the program.
Oversee daily operations of the preschool, ensuring compliance with state regulations and accreditation standards.
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise preschool teachers and staff, providing guidance, evaluation, and ongoing professional development.
Develop, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate curriculum that supports academic readiness and biblical teaching.
Build strong relationships with families, fostering open communication, support, and partnership in children’s growth.
Manage enrollment, admissions, and retention of students.
Oversee the preschool budget, tuition collection, and resource allocation in collaboration with church leadership or governing board.
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment for children and staff.
Plan and coordinate chapel services, special events, and outreach activities that support spiritual development.
Partner with church leadership to align the preschool’s mission with the church’s overall ministry vision.
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field.
Florida Director’s Credential (or willingness to obtain within a set timeframe).
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of Florida childcare licensing regulations and best practices in preschool education.
Active Christian faith and alignment with the preschool’s Statement of Faith.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and equip staff in a collaborative, Christ-centered manner.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Actively participate in the life of the church and community as a representative of the preschool.
Maintain a lifestyle that reflects biblical values and Christian integrity.
Ability to perform normal administrative and supervisory duties, including classroom support as needed.
