The Senior Manager of Global Logistics is a critical role that encompasses working with teams across the globe to move cargo into the US for Walmart, Sam’s and Ecommerce. This role specializes in working with our Ocean Carriers and cross functional teams to strategically engage and manage our Direct Import business. This exciting opportunity will expose you to the international aspects of supply chain and how first mile transportation plays an integral role in delivering to customer. This is truly a unique role, engaging with a variety of teams and working cross functionally with partners such as Ocean Carriers, Air Carriers, Freight Forwarders as well as internal teams across the Walmart organization.
This onsite role is located at Walmart Headquarters in Bentonville Arkansas and reports to the Director of Global Logistics, Transportation Command Center.
Ocean Carrier Engagement: Partner closely with our Ocean Carriers to manage the service, reliability and long-term strategy. Partner with procurement and operations to drive performance and consistency while tracking performance metrics.
Disruption Management: Prepares the business for seasonal changes, economic events and market trends by identify risks and liaising with cross-functional teams to develop E2E mitigation plans. Leads major events and communicates to business partners to ensure a cohesive strategy is in place while promoting continuous learning.
Roll out new Initiatives: Build new Global Logistics capabilities identifying and/or implementing broad programs and initiatives supporting overall enterprise strategy; overseeing upfront analysis and evaluation of program feasibility; influencing and aligning with the Merchandising/Sourcing/Supply Chain executive team to implement initiatives.
Stakeholder Management: Be proactive in communication and bring value to cross functional teams by managing expectations

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
