Every child is born full of promise, and every child deserves a promising future. The Idaho Youth Ranch has been helping good kids on a dangerous path find promising futures for more than 60 years, with youth programs and services through the state.
We offer emergency shelter, residential care, substance abuse treatment, job readiness training, alternative education, adoption services, family counseling, and more for at-risk kids and their struggling parents and families.
No matter what a child is up against, the Idaho Youth Ranch can help. Every kid who comes to us faces their own unique challenges and issues. So we adapt our services to meet their needs, instead of the other way around. The Idaho Youth Ranch approach is to intervene early, when our help can do the most good; treat the whole child, not just one symptom; and finish the job by sticking with each kid as long as they need us.
Our work would not be possible without generous donations from people like you. Thanks to our donors and our statewide network of 29 thrift stores, we can help kids and families effectively and immediately even if they can’t afford the entire cost of care.

Use Your Creativity to Spark Change for Idaho Youth
Are you always spotting the coolest thrift finds? Love sharing DIY flips, styling tips, or feel-good stories on Instagram or Facebook? Here’s your chance to turn your content into something even bigger-impact.
As a
Social Media Influencer Volunteer , you’ll help Idaho Youth Ranch showcase the best of our thrift stores while spreading the word about our mission supporting youth across Idaho with hope, healing, and opportunity. Whether you're posting a Reel of your latest thrift haul or snapping a photo of a great sale, your creativity will inspire others to shop, donate, and care.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a creative member of our volunteer team, you’ll help bring the Idaho Youth Ranch brand to life by
- Visiting thrift stores to create fun and engaging content (Reels, posts, stories, etc.)
- Highlighting cool finds, sales, donation drives, and thrift flips
- Sharing the mission behind each purchase-how it helps fund youth programs across Idaho
- Submitting content and a media release to be shared on IYR platforms
- (Optional) Posting content on your personal social accounts and tagging Idaho Youth Ranch
- Collaborating with our Marketing Team on occasional campaigns or challenges
- Responding to comments, engaging with followers, and boosting awareness
Where You'll Be
Wherever inspiration strikes! You'll visit Idaho Youth Ranch Thrift Store locations near you to gather content, and you can post or submit content from anywhere. You'll also have the opportunity to connect with our Marketing Team for collaboration, creative direction, and ideas.
