Job Description

Mercury Systems is seeking the best and brightest talent to help us bring cutting edge technology to mission critical aerospace and defense applications, advancing innovation where it matters most. The Engineering team is seeking a senior principal rf/electrical production support engineer who will provide technical leadership to resolve issues that may arise during assembly, production testing, and integration of complex RF/Microwave products. The ideal engineer will demonstrate strong cross-functional collaboration skills, while working effectively with program management, operations, supply chain, and quality teams to support the objectives of a high-impact defense program.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering and technicians on offline asset reduction
  • Perform hands-on product troubleshooting
  • Drive overall RCCA activity and identify / mitigate failure trends
  • Report offline asset metrics
  • Support definition of producibility improvements via IRAD
  • Support implementation of producibility improvements via IRAD
  • Support Lead Engineer on design updates

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in High Reliability, Aerospace, or Defense Electronics product development and product manufacturing
  • Experience in testing / troubleshooting RF/Microwave, analog, digital, and/or mixed signal circuits
  • Experience in failure analysis / Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
  • Experience applying microwave and electromagnetic wave theory to investigate RF product issues
  • Experience with microwave measurement equipment and techniques, including vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and power meters
  • Proven track record of driving successful project outcomes and providing effective technical leadership to cross-functional development or manufacturing teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills within fast-paced environments, with a proven ability to collaborate and thrive in team-oriented settings
  • Extensive experience in defining, articulating, and executing technical projects from concept through completion
  • Role is on-site and based in Oxnard, CA
  • Active Secret clearance required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering
  • Experience with testing and troubleshooting RF and Microwave component/subsystem such as power amplifiers, up-converters, down converters, power amplifiers, waveform generators, RF modulators, and limiters
  • Familiar with FPGA and Programmable Logic design
  • Experience with system level troubleshooting for digital, analog, and power circuits
  • Experience using Microwave Office, ADS, HFSS
  • Experience using Matlab

Full-Time Equivalent Annual Salary Range: $126,500 - $227,700 for a Senior Principal / Senior Manager at Oxnard CA USA.

The disclosed salary range is a general guideline for Mercury team members employed at the job level at the location listed above and does not include overtime for eligible hourly employees.
