Working Conditions

• This position in located in the Riverpoint Marketplace area of West Sacramento (10 minutes from downtown), near the IKEA. Our building offers a free parking lot to employees and is within walking distance of numerous restaurants and shops.

• This position is eligible for a hybrid telework option, in accordance with CAL FIRE’s telework policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS

STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS (SOQ)

Complete responses to the SOQ below are required to be submitted along with your state application  and resume in order to be considered for an interview. The responses to the SOQ should be typed in 12- point font, single-spaced, and limited to one page describing the response to the questions below. The  response serves as documentation of each candidate’s ability to present information clearly and  concisely in writing.

1. Describe your experience managing the full lifecycle of grants.

Include how you create solicitations, develop grant materials, work with internal/external  stakeholders and ensure compliance with grant fund source requirements. If you do not have  previous grants experience, demonstrate how your current experience relates to the grants

management process.

2. Describe your leadership style and how you’ve successfully led a team.

Include examples of motivating staff, resolving conflicts, and achieving team goals.
