• Up to 1-year contract opportunity, with extension options
• Minimum Associate's degree in Medical Lab Science, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Outpatient Medical Clinic Lab Opportunity
• Full-time hours

• Mon - Fri, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., No Weekends or Holidays.
• ASCP or equivalent required
• BLS, basic life support certification required
• Previous Medical/Clinical lab experience needed
• Prior Travel experience a plus
• Previous IHS experience preferred

The CLS or MLT, Clinical Lab Scientist, Medical Lab Tech or Medical lab Scientist, will provide services in clinical laboratory setting by performing diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology and microbiology as well as assisting in phlebotomy. Proficient in the operation of different laboratory equipment /analyzers, running quality controls, calibration of laboratory equipment and capable of applying professional judgement in resulting out challenging diagnostic laboratory results. Experience working in a primary care outpatient clinic setting. Experience providing care to patients within a rural area. Experience or familiarity working with an Electronic Health Record System

Indian Preference Exercised:

Prairie Band, LLC is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. In accordance with Title 22, this position is designated as a TIER 2 position. Preference will be given to individuals to the extent required pursuant to Section 22-2-4(B).

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field (minimum)
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Certification through ASCP or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a clinical or hospital lab setting
• Lab Experience in a health care setting, Hospital, Clinic, Medical Office
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a federal background investigation
• Must provide immunization records and meet IHS health requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior Indian Health Service or Tribal Health experience
• Previous travel contract experience
• Familiarity with outpatient clinic workflows and EHR systems
• Experience in rural healthcare environments and multicultural settings
• MT, MLT, CLT, CLS shall have proper Qualifications.
• Must have valid ASCP certification, or equivalent.
• Shall have state licensure, if required.
• Must be willing to pass Federal Security Clearance
• Immunization records will be required
